Our Story

Ernestos has been a family-owned and operated Mexican restaurant since 1984.  For 35 years we have provided our family recipe small-batch salsa and cheese dip to the masses nationwide.  Over the years we have prided ourselves on providing the best homemade, from scratch, family-owned recipe Mexican food. 

Throughout the years Ernestos has garnered multiple state and local awards for our authenticity with great food and great service.  As we evolved we wanted to move away from the brick and mortar and into a new exciting direction, thus creating Ernestos KC!

Ernestos KC will provide award-winning salsa, white gold (cheese dip), and locally made chips to the greater Kansas City area and surrounding towns.  We are excited to become part of Kansas City’s long rich tradition of fantastic eateries and look forward to serving you!  As Ernesto would say…..  Don’t worry about the mule…..  Load the wagon!
